TOTO LTD. (Headquartered in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan; President: Shinya Tamura) has announced the recipients of the 21st TOTO Water Environment Fund.
As a result of the selection process, grants will be awarded to a total of 21 organizations, 13 in Japan and 8 overseas, in fiscal year 2026. Together with the two organizations already active, this will support the projects of a total of 23 organizations. Since its establishment in 2005, the total number of grant recipient organizations has reached 353, with activities spanning 45 prefectures in Japan and 19 countries overseas.
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the TOTO Water Environment Fund, TOTO will increase its contribution by 10 million yen in addition to the regular contribution amount. A total of 39.96 million yen will be provided to 21 newly selected organizations. This brings the total amount of grants to 539.04 million yen.
In addition to the previous selection process by a panel of selectors made up of Group employees, this time the Group employees were asked to vote online to allow more employees to participate in the selection process. Approximately 2,800 Group employees voted, and two additional domestic organizations and one overseas organization were selected.
As a company that has been developing businesses related to "water" since its founding, TOTO will actively promote activities that contribute to the development of local communities and the protection of the global environment under its shared value creation strategy, TOTO WILL2030, which aims to realize a "sustainable society" and "clean, comfortable and healthy lifestyles" by 2030. About “TOTO Water Environment Fund”
TOTO Group believes that in order to realize a sustainable society, contributions made through corporate business activities are essential, as are the activities of organizations that support local communities. In order to work with organizations that support local communities to solve social issues, TOTO Water Environment Fund was established in 2005, and the fund supports ongoing activities that reexamine the relationship between local water and daily life.
We select projects based on whether they can be rooted in the local community and whether they are sustainable rather than a one-off activity, and then we work with organizations that share the same vision. Our foundation not only supports activities through grants, but also places emphasis on "collaboration," where employees of the group's nearest offices take the lead in actively participating in volunteer activities.
